Well, bust my buttons! A very dear friend of mine has bestowed this award upon me for making her think. I think most of the time she's thinking "that woman ain't right." (You think that, too, don't you? It's okay. I get that a lot.) Seriously, I can't tell you what an honor this is. Thank you, Barb, for thinking of me! And just when I needed a lift. You bless me. More than you know. Really.
Only now, I'm supposed to pay it forward. This is the hard part because, like Barb, every blog I read makes me think. And I read a lot of blogs. And they're all good. But I have to narrow it down to 5. FIVE. Out of 86. I don't even know where to begin.
My understanding is that this is not a competition. We haven't been nominated as contestants to be voted in or out by majority. If that were the case, I would choose not to participate. Rather, the idea behind this meme is to spotlight blogs that offer interesting, informative content that might be helpful to those who read it. Every single one on my blogroll fits that description. If you aren't reading them, I think you should be. Since so many of my favorite bloggers have already received this award (see Barb's list, and Dawn's list, and Laurel's list . . . you get the idea) I'm going to pass it on to some that I have not yet added to my blogroll.
Having said all that, here are the rules for participating:
- If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
- Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
- Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn't fit your blog).
Now I submit to you my list of '5 Blogs That Make Me Think.' Enjoy!

Now I'm off to Arkansas for the end of Spring Break. Happy weekend, y'all!

Well, of course you ain't right, Brenda. That's what I love about you. You keep me on my toes and trust me, you make me think. So hard my head hurts sometimes.
Nope, this isn't a competition. It's just a nice opportunity for each of us to give a little recognition to people who have made a difference in our lives. That, my friend, you have truly done in mine. You make me think every time we connect.
After the last "competition" I'm with you - I'm very tempted to opt out before I face the criticism competetive awards seems to bring out in people again. On the one hand, being "nominated" can't help but make you feel good. On the other, if it causes even one person to feel bad, well, it's not worth it.
Anyhoo. That was pretty deep, huh? Are you proud of me? LOL
I gave you this award because from the very beginning you have been my friend. I connected with you the first time we chatted. You know.
And congratulations on paying it forward to five people I haven't heard of. I thought for sure I'd heard of everyone. Really. :-) I'll be checking them out because if you like them enough to give them this award, they're definitely worth visiting.
So go. Go to Arkansas and enjoy your break. And PLEASE come home and update us on your girls. OK?
xoxoxo
Congrats--you're all about thinking, girl! Have fun in Arkansas!
Congratulations to you Brenda. I do have to say that you've been so full of thinking in the past couple of months especially that I have a hard time deciding where to put you on my blogroll! Sharpening...or...medicine (as in laughter is good...)
BTW your green template looks really nice.
You definitely deserve this, too! As I said, I would like to have named at least 10, probably more. But it was fun. And I haven't read any of yours. So many blogs, so little time!! Unbelievable. We could spend 24/7 reading and commenting, if it wouldn't jeopardize our mortgages, our children/grandchildren, our marriages!
See you soon!
I'm enjoying your blog--I love a good think. :)
Congrats fellowette thinker!...Thanks for the bestowed award. Have a great spring break...I'm tootling through reading what I've been missing lately, but soon...today...I'll have to get off the computer and go to soccer practice with the little man and then back to studying and taxes...
Congrats! And have a safe and wonderful trip!
I'm a little slow on the uptake, so please forgive me.
Congratulations and thanks for tagging me.
Now I'll be all self-conscious about making sure to be thoughtful.
I'll be there soon! I can't believe it. Will the flowers still be there, or did they get frozen out? DC's been watching the Masters and he said it's been cold down there, too. It's was FRIGID here for Easter!
See you soon.
Part 5 is finally up.
