Some of you may be aware that I have a second blog. I had planned to use it as sort of a personal prayer journal, but since I began blogging, I have encountered many people for whom I have felt a burden to lift up in prayer. You may find your name or the name of a loved one mentioned there. Some have not been mentioned for the sake of confidentiality, but I have committed to pray daily for each request that has been made known to me.
I have wanted for some time to make my prayer blog more interactive, but I wasn't real sure how to do that, and I have been a bit apprehensive about going "public" with it because I don't want it to seem as though I am seeking any recognition for myself. However, my friend Bev has inspired me to try something new. I have provided a link in my sidebar for prayer requests. Clicking on that link will take you to a page on my prayer blog where you can leave requests or pray for others. I hope you will join me in this endeavor to lift up those in need, whatever their need might be.

Hey Brenda, we'll be prayer buddies :-D I plan this next week to do a Mr. Linky so others can either go to their website and ask for prayer for specific concerns I dont know about, they can write out a prayer, or just mention the need, or they can leave a comment that they will be praying for something, or just praying in general. Either way its a win-win, dont you think? I was a bit overwhelmed when I started getting emails, asking me to pray, so I think if you do this too,and we do a Mr. Linky, or sidebar link the needs will be shared by all of us. xoxoxo
What a blessing you are Brenda! And what a great idea.....your 2nd blog can be a gathering place for many who visit....who can stop and pray for the names posted. Your prayer warrior heart is such a blessing!

This is just so like you, Brenda. Your heart is so big there's room to include all of us. I've known about A Heart Like Water since I met you ages ago. I knew it was more of a personal prayer journal, kind of a private place for you.
For you to offer your special place to all of us tells me everything I already knew about you is true. You do have a heart like water and you care about all of us who need a little help sometimes.
I'm on my way there right now. As you know, I have a couple of prayer requests on the tip of my tongue.
