When the Meme hits your eye like a big Pizza Pie...

I was tagged by Kelli, who was tagged by Barb for this meme adapted by Code Yellow Mom from a game she saw on a pizza box.

What was your favorite thing about being a kid?
Weekend visits to my grandparents' farm. We'd get so dirty playing outside until dark, climbing trees and pelting each other with china berries. My cousin started it.

What was your favorite subject in school?
In elementary school, I loved reading and language arts. In jr. high I loved math and choral music. In high school, I loved psychology, French, and choral music. Oh, and chemistry.

Who was your best friend when you were 10?
I don't remember having a best friend until 5th grade. Aaron who lived down the street came over to play quite often.

If you could be any animal what would you be?
I'd want to be an eagle. My most favorite Bible verse ever is Isaiah 40:31.

What would you change about your school, occupation, life right now?
If I had finished college, I'd be a Speech Pathologist, likely would not have met my first husband, would have different kids, and may not have become completely dependent on the Lord to get me through each and every day. While I do wish my kids were living with me right now, God's timing and plans are far better than my own. They are in His hands, and He knows what He's doing. Proverbs 16:9 - In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

What's your favorite color?
I have several. Deep reds like maroon, muted greens like sage, and light purples like lavendar

What's your favorite type of crust and favorite topping on a pizza?
My favorite pizza ever is Mazzio's hand-tossed California alfredo. It's topped with chicken, bacon, and tomatoes. Second choice is Stevi B's original crust spinach alfredo. Third choice is pepperoni and mushrooms. Extra cheese.

Now whom shall I tag? The hardest part of a meme for me is choosing taggees. It appears that Diane, Tammy, and Mommy Dearest have yet to do this one. Ladies, consider yourself tagged!

I thought I could duck out of the way of the flying pizza, but you got me anyway!
It does look kinda' fun, though, so I'll do this in just a few days. (really!)

Those times on your grandma's farm sounds so fun! I always wanted to have a "grandma's farm" to go to! :)

I thought I'd escaped this one, but you've got me outnumbered, one to one. ;D (Yosemite Sam)

You might not believe this, but we had a chinaberry tree at that house in the country and I planned on writing about it soon. The green ones stung like the dickens and left welts, and the ripe ones were mushy yellow and got all over you. Ick!!

I'll get to this one this afternoon or tonight (Wednesday).

Good job, Brenda. :-)

PS: I notice you're using the beta version of blogger now. How do you like it? Did you lose anything from your old blog? Any pros or cons I should know about before switching? Just curious..... :-)

I'm glad Diane asked that question about the beta version. Several people have said they switched - I'm wondering what the advantage is. Guess I should check it out.

But back to your post, you've mentioned speech pathology a lot. I'm curious - what draws you to that?

And I've thought about how my life might be had I never met Rob. Can you imagine? My kids WOULD be different kids. It amazes me how our lives are shaped by one simple twist of fate.

haha!

I'll forgive your love of chemistry, due to your love of choral music :)

I love these things .. it's so fun to get to know people a bit better!

BTW- I'm still pondering the novel concepts ... and haven't forgotten your tag :)

As I noted before, almost everyone lists English or language arts as a favorite in school - must be why we all blog!

I like your title to this. I think it's interesting how your favorite subjects in school kept changing. Oh, and my mom could not believe how dirty I could get playing outside all day! We climbed my Grandma's mimosa tree. Those were the days...
