Works-For-Me Wednesday
Playing along with Shannon from Rocks In My Dryer .
My husband likes meatloaf. He loves my meatloaf. I love my husband, and I like to make meatloaf for him, but I hate putting my hands in it, and it just doesn't mix well with a spoon. The last time I had made it, I tried putting sandwich bags on my hands, and it actually worked pretty well for keeping my hands from getting yucky, but I still had a slimy mixing bowl to contend with.
We had meatloaf again Monday, and I took my idea a step further. Gallon sized ziplock bags! Put all your ingredients in, press most of the air out, zip, and squish, squeeze, or knead until ingredients are thoroughly mixed. You can even shape it while it's still in the bag, turn it out into the loaf pan, and pop it into the oven.
No muss, no fuss! Am I a genius or what?

I love this idea! My family likes meatloaf too but like you said the sliminess factor is off the charts! Cant wait to try out this idea!
Great idea! Time saving too--as, by the time I take my rings off, my jewelry off, and my peeling finger nail polish off...I have lost the energy to even make dinner!

What a fabulous idea! I hate that gucky yucky slimy factor...ewww!
I LOVE this idea, I'm making meatloaf tonight so this couldn't have come at a better time :)
Now that IS genius!
Yeppers, you absolutely are a genius!
Love this tip!
Great idea! Another great use for ziploc bags!
Now THAT is brilliant. Because every single time I make meatloaf, I inevitably leave the water running in the sink so that I can immediately clean my hands. Great idea.
Genius! I just made hamburgers tonight, I wish I would have read this before I was squishing that cold meat through my fingers...eew.
Great idea. It always seems like the baby needs me most when I'm up to my elbows in raw meat. Ewww!
Wow. I was sure everyone else had already thought of it.
Thank you all for commenting!
GREAT idea! I have serious issues with raw meat, this is right up my alley. :)
